Killington Snowmaking Update: November 4, 2017

Snowmaking Update

In the latest Killington Snowmaking Update for November, Killington flexes it’s muscles in an impressive display this morning . With a blast of warm weather this past week and a little bit of rain, the snowmaking efforts from last week were thwarted and the Resort has to start pretty much from scratch. But temps hung in the upper 30’s in the valley making for excellent snowmaking temps on the slopes. We predict, and yes this is just a prediction that we could be skiing by midweek and definitely skiing this weekend. On the upper mountain temperatures look conducive for snowmaking in the evening for the next week.  In the first photo it even looks like there could have been a hint of “a la natural” up top- it could just be blowover too. First to open will be Rime and Reason followed by top to bottom off Snowden. As predicted, we suspected a slower than usual start to the season with a long spring.

See you on the slopes!
